£35,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on time-served experience and qualifications)
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing workshop team based in Gedling, Nottinghamshire.
This is a hands-on role working on a wide range of vehicle repairs and servicing across all makes and models. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and completing routine servicing to a high standard. MOT testing duties will also form part of the role for candidates who hold a valid MOT Tester qualification.
This position would suit a skilled mechanic who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is confident dealing with a variety of mechanical repairs in a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
* Performing repairs on a wide range of vehicles
* Completing brakes, suspension, clutch, exhaust, and engine work
* Conducting MOT tests where qualified
* Using diagnostic equipment effectively
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Advising on additional repair requirements where necessary
* Supporting the wider workshop team when required
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Mechanic / Technician
* Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair
* Ability to diagnose faults efficiently
* MOT Tester qualification beneficial but not essential
* Experience working on multiple vehicle makes and models
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* Reliable and professional approach to work
