Essential Requirements
• Minimum 6 months experience within health and social care
• Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism
• Understanding of person centred support and promoting independence
• A caring, reliable and professional approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Medication training is desirable but not essential
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable
The Role
Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to support clients within Supported Living services across Burnley.
You will be supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism to live independently within their own homes and in the community while promoting choice, dignity and independence.
Duties will include:
• Supporting with daily living tasks and routines
• Encouraging independence and life skills development
• Supporting individuals to access the community and activities
• Providing emotional and behavioural support where required
• Supporting with medication administration
• Maintaining accurate daily records and reports
• Working alongside permanent staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Promoting a safe, positive and supportive environment
