Your new role
As Accounts Senior, you'll manage a varied portfolio and take responsibility for work from initial records through to accounts ready for review and sign‑off.Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing statutory accounts to review / partner sign‑off stage
Accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Reviewing bookkeeping and correcting client records
Completing accounts from incomplete or poor‑quality records
Working extensively with Xero (and associated apps)
Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
Supporting and reviewing junior team members where required
Working with managers on more complex or group entities

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience within a UK accountancy practiceMinimum requirement: ability to prepare a full set of statutory accounts for review/sign‑off
Strong experience reviewing bookkeeping and dealing with incomplete records
Confident user of Xero
Experience with corporation tax and VAT compliance
Comfortable with regular client liaison
AAT, ACA or ACCA (qualified or studying) welcomed, but practical experience is key
Organised, commercially aware, and capable of working independently
