How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Maths Teacher


    A brand new specialist SEN school opening in South London is looking for a passionate Maths Teacher to join its founding teaching team this September!

    This is a rare opportunity to help shape the Maths department from the ground up in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art school designed specifically to support students with additional needs.

    If you are currently teaching Maths in a mainstream setting and are looking for smaller class sizes, more support, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact, this could be the ideal next step.


    - South London

    - £43,000 – £65,000 + £2,700 SEN Allowance

    - September 2026 Start

    - Permanent | Full-Time


    The Role

    • Teach engaging Maths lessons up to GCSE level
    • Work with small class sizes (typically fewer than 10 pupils)
    • Adapt teaching to support students with SEN including ASC, dyslexia and communication needs
    • Integrate EHCP targets into lessons and student development
    • Help shape and develop the school’s Maths curriculum and teaching strategy
    • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and pastoral teams
    • Support students academically, socially and emotionally


    What We’re Looking For

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
    • Strong experience teaching Maths in a mainstream secondary setting
    • Experience supporting students with SEN is highly desirable
    • Confident teaching Maths to GCSE level
    • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs
    • Strong communication and classroom management skills
