How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Customer Service Administrator

    Location: Bedford (Onsite with parking)
    Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm; Friday finish at 3:00pm
    Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

    Our growing client is seeking a motivated Customer Service Administrator with experience in customer service, contact centres, or client-facing roles. You will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service through managing enquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring a positive experience across phone, email, online platforms, and face-to-face interactions when required.

    What you'll be doing: 

    Process and manage sales orders received via email, ensuring adherence to scheduled dispatch dates.
    Handle incoming telephone and email enquiries, providing information on order progress, product pricing, and availability.
    Communicate accurately and promptly with customers, confirming purchase orders and schedule updates.
    Proactively manage customer complaints in line with company procedures, taking appropriate action to resolve issues while maintaining excellent customer support.
    Maintain digital filing of all sales order, billing, shipping, and customs documentation.
    Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection guidelines.
    Update customers with shipping notifications, tracking details, and proof of delivery (POD).
    Raise and print delivery notes for dispatch to accompany outgoing orders.

    What We’re Looking For:

    Proven experience in a customer service, contact centre, or similar client-facing role.
    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    - Strong problem-solving abilities with a calm, patient, and professional demeanor.
    - Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage challenging conversations.
    - Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and email platforms.
    - Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
    - Sound knowledge of customer service principles and best practices.
