How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Smart Building Consultant

    Are you passionate about technology, sustainability, and the future of intelligent buildings?

    An exciting opportunity has opened for a Junior Smart Building Consultant to join a growing consultancy delivering innovative smart building and digital infrastructure projects across commercial real estate, data centres, and high-performance buildings.

    This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their career looking to break into the rapidly expanding smart buildings industry. You'll work alongside experienced consultants and engineers on projects that combine technology, energy efficiency, data analytics, and building automation to create smarter, more sustainable environments.

    Responsibilities

    Supporting the delivery of smart building and digital transformation projects
    Assisting with building technology strategies and smart building assessments
    Working with systems such as BMS, IoT platforms, analytics tools, and integrated building technologies
    Helping analyse building performance and operational data
    Supporting client meetings, workshops, and technical documentation
    Collaborating with project teams across engineering, sustainability, and technology disciplines
    Learning how modern buildings integrate automation, connectivity, and user experience

    Desired Experience

    Degree qualified in Engineering, Building Services, Smart Buildings, Sustainability, Technology, or a related field
    Strong interest in smart buildings, digital engineering, IoT, or building technology
    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    Eagerness to learn and develop within a consultancy environment
    Understanding of BMS, HVAC, energy systems, or automation is beneficial but not essential
    Motivated, curious, and driven personality
