About the Role
Veritas Education are currently recruiting Full-Time Secondary Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools across Rochdale and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education who are looking to make a real impact in the classroom.
You will work closely with teachers to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Support students with additional needs (including SEND)
Help prepare classroom resources and activities
Encourage student participation, confidence, and progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with young people (school-based or similar)
Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be committed to supporting students' academic and personal development
Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
