How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Based in Edinburgh, with the flexibility of hybrid working, this is a key leadership role focused on the delivery of high-quality asset services.
    About the Role:
As the Asset Projects Team Leader, you will lead the Asset Projects team and take ownership of several technical and specialist functions, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard. Your leadership will support the planning, execution, and oversight of a wide range of asset-related projects and services.
You will be specifically accountable for:
    *
Asset Management Planning – Developing and implementing long-term strategies for property investment and maintenance.
    *
Procurement Management – Leading procurement activities to ensure value for money and regulatory compliance.
    *
Asset Project Management – Managing capital projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
    *
Common Repair Service Management – Coordinating common repairs and working closely with property owners and stakeholders.
    *
Asbestos Management – Ensuring robust asbestos compliance and risk management procedures are in place and adhered to.
    About You:
We’re seeking a proactive and organised professional with:
    *
A strong background in asset or project management, preferably within housing, local authority, or a similar environment.
    *
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing service delivery across technical functions.
    *
Knowledge of procurement and compliance standards relevant to property services.
    *
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    *
A relevant professional or technical qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is desirable.
    What We Offer:
    *
A competitive hourly rate of between £27-£30 per hour
    *
    Flexible hybrid working arrangements
    *
A supportive team environment and opportunities to contribute to impactful projects
    *
35-hour working week with a healthy work-life balance
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by contributing to the planning and delivery of essential asset services
