How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Intake Talent is proud to be partnering with a well-established, multi-award-winning charity to recruit an experienced and motivated Fundraising Officer to join their collaborative team.

The organisation supports individuals across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley who have faced significant barriers such as homelessness, mental ill health, or long-term unemployment, helping them move towards sustainable employment, housing, and long-term stability.

    The Role:

    • Remote-first position (with approximately 1 day per month in Oxford, plus occasional events)
    • ASAP start available
    • Flexible working patterns considered

This is a broad and varied fundraising opportunity, offering exposure across multiple income streams, including:

    • Corporate partnerships
    • Trusts & foundations
    • Community, events & individual giving

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including the CEO, Board, and Head of Fundraising, playing an important role in growing income and strengthening supporter relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Building and managing corporate partnerships
    • Writing compelling funding applications and impact reports
    • Supporting community fundraising events and campaigns
    • Managing supporter engagement and communications
    • Working collaboratively across teams to help communicate organisational impact

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Experience in at least one fundraising area (corporate, trusts, events, or individual giving)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • A proactive, collaborative approach
    • Passion for supporting communities and making a positive impact
    • Salesforce experience would be beneficial but is not essential

    Why Apply?

    • Make a genuine impact in a purpose-driven organisation
    • Join a supportive, agile and collaborative team
    • Gain broad experience across diverse income streams
    • Flexible, inclusive working environment
