How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Title: Senior / Executive Construction & Engineering Adjuster

    Location: London/South East, UK

    Term: Full-time, Permanent

    Working Pattern: Hybrid -Monday to Friday


    Sedgwick Resource Solutions are looking for a Senior / Executive Construction & Engineering Adjuster for our client who has one of the largest Construction and Engineering teams in the UK.


    Your New Company:

    A global loss adjusting and claims management business with a strong presence in the London Market. Working across annual contractor policies and project-specific risks, handling claims within construction all risks, engineering, and liability.     Your New Role:

    As a Senior / Executive Adjuster within the Construction & Engineering team, you’ll handle a varied portfolio of London Market claims linked to nominated clients and accounts. Your focus will be on construction-related material damage losses, with involvement across both ongoing contractor policies and major project placements.


    You’ll take responsibility for managing claims from investigation through to settlement, applying technical expertise while building strong working relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, and internal teams. The role offers exposure to complex losses, the opportunity to develop professionally, and the chance to progress as the team continues to expand.


    Your New Responsibilities & Experience:

    • Experience handling construction and engineering claims, particularly Construction All Risks (CAR) material damage losses
    • Solid technical knowledge, including delay in start-up (DSU) and related policy covers
    • Professional qualifications such as ACILA, or progress toward chartered
    • A construction or building-related degree is helpful but not essential where relevant adjusting experience is in place
    • A full UK driving licence – this role involves travelling
    • The ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and make sound decisions
    • A collaborative approach and confidence when dealing with multiple stakeholders
