How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Be the Host: Act as the host during external courses, ensuring a positive presentation.
    • Promote Solutions: Highlight the benefits of systems and guarantees in both established and new courses.
    • Innovate Training Programs: Assist in designing new and revised training courses to stay ahead of industry trends.
    • Maximise Opportunities: Identify and exploit commercial support opportunities through cost-effective training delivery.
    • Deliver Engaging Training: Prepare and present training courses and materials for both practical and digital delivery.
    • Stay Current: Ensure all course formats and content are up-to-date with industry standards and legislation.
    • Share Your Expertise: Communicate your practical flat roofing knowledge to a diverse audience, from merchant counter staff to architects and contractors.
    • Represent as an Expert: Attend industry body and standards meetings as a recognised roofing expert.
    • Discuss Industry Developments: Interpret and debate broader construction issues with industry professionals.
    • Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe learning environment for course delegates.
    • Promote Initiatives: Contribute to Apprentice of the Year initiatives and support seminars, roadshows, and presentations.
    • Collaborate: Work with industry bodies to develop training support for their members.
    • Support Marketing: Assist the marketing department with technical and marketing-based projects.


    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Team Player: Proven experience working successfully as part of a small team.
    • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the UK roofing industry and site practices.
    • Safety Conscious: Experienced in creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
    • Presentation Skills: Excellent ability to present information clearly and engagingly.
    • Practical Ability: Strong hands-on skills in flat roofing.
    • Customer Focused: Dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
    • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Administrative Skills: Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
    • IT Literate: Proficient in using IT tools and software.

    Package:

    £45,000 - £50,000 per year, with company van
