How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Data Analyst & Reporting Assistant required for a successful manufacturing business based in West Norfolk. This is a permanent part time role offering 3 or 4 days a week and flexible working hours.
    About the Role
    We are looking for a detail‑driven and analytical individual to join our finance team as a Data Analyst & Reporting Assistant. Working mainly onsite at our offices in Narborough, you will play a key role in supporting managers across the business by preparing accurate reports, analysing data, and helping maintain the integrity of our key performance information.
    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with spreadsheets, spotting patterns, and ensuring data tells a clear and reliable story. While you will work closely with the accounts team, prior accounting experience is not essential, accuracy, curiosity, and confidence working with data is crucial.
    What You’ll Do
    You will contribute to a wide range of reporting and business support activities, including:
    * Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
    * Supporting sales, repairs, order book, and productivity reporting
    * Assisting with stocktake processes, account adjustments, and accounting reports
    * Completing trading partner returns (e.g., RHS, National Trust, John Lewis)
    * Providing data support for VAT, PEFC, budgets, and management accounts
    * Assisting with year‑end account schedules
    * Deliver accurate, timely data that supports decision‑making across the business
    * Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement in reporting and processes
    You’ll thrive in this role if you can demonstrate:
    * Strong spreadsheet skills, including formulas and data manipulation
    * High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
    * The ability to spot inconsistencies or unexpected results in data
    * A proactive approach to investigating and raising issues
    * A mindset focused on continuous improvement and supporting the wider business
    * Accounting knowledge is helpful but not required, we’re far more interested in your ability to work confidently with data and produce reliable, meaningful insights.
    What’s on offer for the right person:
    * Salary relevant to experience
    * Flexible part time working
    * Contributory pension
    * Health Shield payment Scheme
    * Death in service payment (twice annual salary)
    * Holiday entitlement that increases with length of service
    * The opportunity to work for a company that is driven by it values and recognises that its people play a crucial role in its success
    Why Join Us?
    This is a great opportunity to become a key part of a friendly head office support team, gain exposure to a wide range of business functions, and develop your skills in reporting, analysis, and operational insight
