The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and company policies while creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the children’s residential home.
* Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team to deliver outstanding care.
* Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people at all times.
* Develop and maintain care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support plans.
* Monitor and improve the quality of care and support provided within the home.
* Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, and supervision of staff.
* Build positive relationships with external professionals, local authorities, and families.
* Ensure the home achieves and maintains positive Ofsted outcomes.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively.
Requirements
* Previous experience working within a children’s residential setting.
* Experience in a leadership or management role within social care.
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.
* Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare OR be working towards the qualification.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to lead and inspire a team.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
