How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)
    £43,000 - £47,000 + Bonus, Pension, Life Assurance, Shift Allowance

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who's looking to develop within a modern, highly automated manufacturing environment. Joining a global, family-owned engineering group, you’ll work with advanced mechatronic systems while benefiting from strong technical development, long-term career progression and an excellent overall package.
    The position will appeal to a Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Electrical Technician looking to upskill or a Graduate with industrial working experience
    This role offers a great mix of hands-on fault finding, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and automation support within a fast-paced production environment.
    Maintenance Engineer - The Role:
    * Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production machinery and facilities
    * Support machinery uptime and minimise production downtime
    * Analyse downtime and OEE data to improve machine performance
    * Work with PLC automation, safety systems and control panels
    * Support continuous improvement and project activities
    * Assist with spare parts management and site maintenance activities
    * Mentor apprentices and provide technical support when required
    Maintenance Engineer - What We’re Looking For:
    * HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering
    * Previous experience within a maintenance engineering environment
    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
    * Experience with PLCs, automation systems and industrial machinery
    * Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and machine technology
    * Comfortable working independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

    Night Shift Hours:
    * Sunday: 20:50pm – 06:00am
    * Monday – Thursday: 22:30pm – 06:00am
