How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Dalkia UK

At Dalkia, we’re driven by a shared purpose: tackling climate change and building a better, more sustainable future. We bring together talented people who share knowledge, challenge each other and grow together.

Backed by EDF, Britain’s biggest generator of low carbon electricity, we combine the strength of a major group with a people-first culture, innovative mindset and inclusive values. With over 5,000 employees and annual turnover exceeding £600m, Dalkia is a business where ambitious people can make a genuine impact.

    Group Head of Quality

Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and influencing change at scale?

We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded quality leader to shape and deliver Dalkia UK’s group-wide quality vision across five divisions. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity with responsibility for embedding a consistent, business-wide approach to quality, continuous improvement, governance, and operational performance.

Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll play a critical role in aligning quality strategy with business objectives, influencing stakeholders across the organisation, and driving a culture focused on accountability, efficiency, customer outcomes, and “right first time” delivery.

This role goes beyond quality assurance - it’s about transforming how the business operates, improving performance at scale, and positioning quality as a key enabler of strategic growth and operational excellence.

    What you’ll be doing

As Head of Quality & Continuous Improvement?, you will:

    • Develop and implement a group-wide quality and continuous improvement strategy aligned to Dalkia UK’s operational and commercial objectives
    • Provide strategic leadership across five divisions, driving consistency, governance, and measurable improvements in quality performance
    • Lead cross-functional improvement programmes focused on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, improving compliance, and enhancing customer outcomes
    • Partner with divisional leadership teams to embed a proactive “right first time” culture throughout the organisation
    • Establish and enhance group-wide quality management systems, frameworks, standards, and reporting mechanisms
    • Drive operational excellence initiatives that improve business performance and support long-term strategic growth
    • Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on quality, governance, assurance, and continuous improvement
    • Provide oversight and assurance across the supply chain, ensuring robust quality standards and compliance requirements are maintained
    • Use data, insight, and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
    • Coach, influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels to build capability and embed sustainable behavioural change

    What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a credible and influential leader with the ability to operate strategically while remaining close enough to the detail to drive delivery and change.

    You’ll bring:

    • Proven experience leading quality, operational excellence, or business improvement initiatives within a large, complex organisation
    • Experience operating across multiple business units or divisions, driving alignment and consistency at scale
    • A strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into practical improvement programmes
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leadership teams
    • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, governance frameworks, assurance processes, and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Experience within regulated or high-hazard industries such as construction, engineering, energy, nuclear, infrastructure, manufacturing, or petrochemical environments
    • A track record of delivering measurable improvements in operational performance, efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction
    • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership capability with the ability to inspire cultural change across diverse teams

    Why join us?

This is a rare opportunity to shape and influence quality strategy across an evolving national business operating at significant scale.

You’ll have the visibility, autonomy, and support to drive meaningful organisational change, influence senior decision-making, and establish quality as a true competitive advantage across Dalkia UK.

If you’re ready to lead strategically, influence at scale, and make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.

    Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

We’re committed to creating an inclusive and fair recruitment process. If you require any adjustments or support, please let us know in confidence — our team is here to help.
