How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering a high standard of client care.
    • Working collaboratively within the wider team while also managing matters independently with minimal supervision.
    • Supervising and supporting junior members of the team where appropriate.
    • Ensuring compliance with quality procedures and internal management systems.
    • Managing work efficiently and commercially to meet individual and team targets.
    • Continuing professional and personal development to maintain and enhance technical expertise.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A relevant legal qualification.
    • Strong technical knowledge and experience within Family Law.
    • Experience handling a broad and complex caseload, including high-net-worth financial cases and Children Act matters.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
    • A proactive and commercially aware approach.
    • Experience contributing to business development initiatives.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
    • A confident and professional manner when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
    • A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor junior colleagues.
    • Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

    Benefits

The firm offers a supportive and collaborative working environment alongside genuine opportunities for progression and professional development. Benefits include:

    • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
    • Additional leave for birthdays and Christmas/New Year closures.
