How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Type: Permanent

Maxwell Bond is partnering with a leading organisation within the retail supply chain and distribution technology sector, currently investing heavily in the evolution of its digital product and application landscape. They are seeking a Head of Product to define and lead the strategic direction of a complex enterprise product portfolio, driving operational efficiency, customer value, and long-term business growth.

This is a high-impact leadership role where the Head of Product will take ownership of a broad digital product ecosystem, working closely with senior stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and operational leaders to shape product strategy and influence key technology decisions across the organisation.

    Role Overview

As Head of Product, you will own the end-to-end digital product portfolio, ensuring products evolve cohesively and continue delivering measurable business value. You’ll lead a team of Product Owners across operations, customer experience, procurement, and data, while driving improvements to the overall product operating model.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with deep technical understanding, someone comfortable discussing architecture, integrations, data flows, SaaS platforms, and long-term scalability, while also influencing stakeholders at senior leadership level.

You’ll be joining a business undergoing significant digital transformation, where product strategy and technology are central to future growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own and define the digital product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management across a complex application landscape
    • Lead and develop a team of Product Owners across multiple product domains
    • Drive prioritisation decisions across competing business and operational demands, balancing value, cost, and technical constraints
    • Work closely with architects and engineering teams to shape scalable, sustainable product solutions
    • Ensure products deliver measurable improvements to operational efficiency and customer experience
    • Manage vendor relationships, supplier performance, SLAs, and commercial outcomes
    • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for senior stakeholders and leadership teams
    • Continuously improve product operating models, governance, and ways of working across the wider function

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Proven experience leading or owning enterprise-scale digital product portfolios within complex environments
    • Previous leadership or line management experience of Product Owners or equivalent product teams
    • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, integrations, workflows, and data flows
    • Experience working closely with architects, engineering teams, and technology leadership to shape product strategy
    • Strong commercial awareness with experience balancing technical trade-offs, operational priorities, and business outcomes
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
    • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and product operating models
    • Comfortable navigating legacy systems, platform modernisation, and large-scale transformation initiatives

    Desired Experience

    • Experience managing multi-system enterprise application landscapes
    • Exposure to vendor management, supplier negotiations, and commercial technology decisions
    • Experience driving customer experience and operational efficiency improvements through technology
    • Technical understanding of low/no-code platforms, integrations, and modern application architectures

    Why Apply?

    • Opportunity to lead and shape a large-scale enterprise product function
    • High visibility role with direct influence on technology and operational strategy
    • Work within a collaborative, transformation-focused environment
    • Lead meaningful digital change across customer, operational, and data platforms
    • Strong opportunity to influence both product direction and wider business outcomes

If you’re a Head of Product looking for an opportunity where you can combine strategic leadership, technical understanding, and commercial impact within a complex enterprise environment, this could be an excellent fit. Please apply for more information.
