How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Framework Manager
    Office Location: near Reading
    Flexibility: 4 days a week in the office, 1 day working from home
    Sector experience needed: Water
    About the role:
    Reporting to the Regional Director you will be accountable for the successful delivery of a Major Water Framework.
    Primarily you will be responsible for leading and developing regional team of technical and delivery staff to deliver circa £(Apply online only)m of revenue over the five year AMP8 programme and secure an extension into AMP9.
    Client relationships are key to their ongoing success and you will need to be experienced in the ability to collaborate with Senior Water Company employees and secure new work and deliver on existing work successfully.
    With a strong focus on HSQE you will lead the framework team to industry leading standards, promoting the companies values around protection of the workforce and public from harm, leading by example.
    You will be responsible for achieving the Framework targets for Revenue, P&L and overhead control, supported by a senior management team.
    Key Responsibilities
    HSQE
    Deliver against standards and promote industry leading initiatives for further improvement
    Deliver a RIDDOR/LTI free working environment
    Promote Health of Workers initiatives and better ways of working
    Ensure designs are safe to build and optimised for future operator safety
    Promote HSQE in our supply chain partners through collaboration
    Drive a zero defect culture in the delivery team
    Carry out Senior Leadership tours on sites and promote collaboration
    Investigate HiPO events and incidents with a view to continuous improvement
    Promote incident reporting standard
    COMMERCIAL
    Deliver Revenue targets – secure bid opportunities, support and lead bids as appropriate
    Achieve P&L targets and actively manage portfolio risk
    Oversee the Commercial Manager’s control of cost management at project and framework level
    Lead Contract Value Reconciliation (CVR) reviews to ensure robust financial control and foresee potential P&L risks for early resolution
    Hold Project Managers accountable for their project’s commercial performance
    Ensure compliance with process and contract specifications
    Lead Commercial dispute resolution at the local level with an aim to avoid escalation
    Manage sub-contractor relationships, determine supply chain requirements and performance in line with the Regional Director’s plan
    Assist the Commercial Manager in ensuring efficient cash collection
    OPERATIONAL & CLIENT
    Deliver the Capital programme of works efficiently, meeting programme deadlines and key dates.
    Oversee design progression by the Design team, supporting the Regional Design Manager
    Promoting innovation in design
    Ensure documentation is managed efficiently to achieve rapid handover of schemes on completion
    Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with TW Senior Management through delivering on promises, workload and promoting an inclusive culture with the other framework partners
    Take on additional responsibility as appropriate to assist TW in delivering the AMP8 capital programme and new ways of working
    Develop a regional cultural and sustainability plan – including charity support and community engagement to raise the profile of TW and the Water Industry
    PEOPLE
    Develop the regional team – adding staff, skills and experience to deliver on the secured workload and plan for new work arriving
    Create a culture of staff engagement and a strong regional culture of teamwork and collaboration
    Manage staff workload allocation
    Develop your regional team and identify succession plans and career development opportunities
    Hold regular team briefings including with supply chain partners
    Identify staff training needs and support in delivery of such
    Develop the regional teams network
    Mentor staff members
    Ensure all regional duty holders are in place and suitably supported
