How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Outbound Logistics Lead will oversee the efficient and timely delivery of shipments to our clients eComm customers, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.

    Our client is a leading fashion business.

    Description

    The Outbound Logistics Lead plays a key role in efficiently managing shipments/parcels throughout our client's European network. Based in London and working alongside the outbound logistics team, key responsibilities will include:

    Facilitating the movement of domestic, cross-border and international shipments between our clients Distribution Centre(s) and multiple delivery channels.
    Working directly with transportation vendors to ensure timely and efficient deliveries to consumers.
    Working closely with the digital operations team by actively communicating delivery disruptions and sharing delivery performance data.
    Partner with project/digital teams to build testing scenarios for launches into further markets, ensuring effective communication to the business and external partners.
    Set up, maintaining and continuously improving tracking tools to ensure cross functional teams have visibility of parcels in transit and are informed in a timely manner on possible delays.
    Partnering with the global technology teams and participating in further development of systems and tools used to optimise and improve the returns and delivery experience.
    Investigating shortages and damages, submitting claims, following up with carriers and monitoring receipt of refunds.
    In partnership with the London-based finance team you will own and analyse rates and service options from carriers to best support business requirements.
    Leading various forecasting and capacity analysis with the objective of efficiently streamlining the outbound shipping process.

    Profile

    The successful Outbound Logistics Lead must be willing to commit to a 12 month temporary assignment and commute to London 3-4 days per week. Reporting into the head of outbound logistics you will need to demonstrate the following experience:

    Experienced in managing international outbound logistics. Ideally within a fast-paced, fast-growing FMCG environment.
    Experience of working with external transportation carriers/partners is required.
    A clear understanding of logistics procedures and documentation requirements (including import and export regulations).
    Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    You must be able to multitask and manage time in a constructive and efficient manner.
    Strong customer service and communication skills are key.

    Job Offer

    The successful Outbound Logistics Lead will be rewarded with a competitive day rate on an initial 12 month assignment.

    This is a hybrid working role, with the expectation of being in the office 3-4 days per week
