We are currently hiring an experienced Metal Fabricator to join a busy and well-established steelwork and fabrication company based in the SS3 area.
This is a permanent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication background who is confident working on a wide range of structural and architectural metalwork projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Fabricating and assembling structural steelwork and architectural metalwork
* Working from technical drawings and fabrication diagrams
* MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
* Manufacturing and fitting:
* Steel beams
* Balustrades
* Staircases
* Handrails
* General bespoke metalwork
* Measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and finishing materials
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
* Following health & safety procedures on site and in the workshop
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication
* Strong MIG/TIG welding experience
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Experience working with structural steel or architectural metalwork
* Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Full UK working rights
