How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager

    Drive Major Civil Engineering Projects Across the UK

    We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to take the lead on high-profile civil engineering and construction projects nationwide.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is passionate about delivering projects that shape infrastructure across the UK.

    As Project Manager, you will oversee every stage of the project lifecycle—from initial planning and mobilisation through to final handover—ensuring each project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    As a key member of the delivery team, you will:

    Lead and manage civil engineering and construction projects from concept to completion

    Coordinate with design teams, site managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

    Control project budgets, programmes, and resource allocation

    Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

    Produce detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and updates for senior management

    Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively

    Travel nationwide to oversee multiple live projects

    Build, mentor, and inspire site teams and junior staff

    Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes

    What We’re Looking For

    You will be a confident leader with a proven track record of delivering successful civil engineering or construction projects.

    Essential Skills and Experience

    Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction

    Strong leadership and team management skills

    Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities

    Sound knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements

    Ability to manage multiple projects and travel extensively across the UK

    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    Qualifications

    Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

    Professional project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent (desirable)
