How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Are you an ambitious teaching assistant looking for a rewarding role in a primary school?

    We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school that require dedicated a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils with Special Education Needs.

    The Role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team and provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and other staff members to create an inclusive and engaging learning experience.

    Responsibilities

    Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs in EYFS and KS2.
    Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting activities to suit the pupil's needs.
    Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
    Support the social, emotional, and educational development of the pupils.
    Liaise with teachers, SENCo, and parents to ensure consistent progress.
    Assist with classroom activities, maintaining a calm and inclusive atmosphere.About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    Has experience working with children, ideally within EYFS or KS2.
    Has a good understanding of SEN and strategies to support learning.
    Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping children reach their potential.
    Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills.
    Demonstrates commitment to the Catholic ethos of our school (you do not need to be Catholic but should be supportive of our values).
    Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential. To join us and be successful in this role you will need:

    Experience in a similar role
    An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
    A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
