We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Designer to join a well-established manufacturing and printing company based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical design background within packaging who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will support both the design and reprographics teams, ensuring packaging designs are production-ready, technically accurate, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Create technical CAD drawings and production profiles including Braille, embossing, foiling and varnish requirements
Support the reprographics team from initial artwork through to final production
Carry out technical checks on tooling requests to ensure suitability for production
Liaise with suppliers and tooling manufacturers regarding technical specifications
Produce layouts that maximise production efficiency across multiple sites
Ensure all customer-facing artwork and packaging designs meet high-quality standards
Support structural design and sampling teams when required
Keep up to date with packaging, machinery and industry developments
Assist with process improvements and adapting to new systems and softwareRequirements:
Previous experience within packaging, manufacturing or print design
Strong working knowledge of Esko Artios CAD
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Positive and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with both on-site and remote teamsWhat’s on Offer:
