How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sales Project Engineer

    £30,000 - £34,000 + Bonus + Company Van + Training + Development + Long-Term Stability + Company Benefits

    Winchester, Hampshire (Commutable from: Southampton, Eastleigh, Basingstoke, Andover, Salisbury, Fareham, Portsmouth)

    Are you from a Mechanical, HVAC, Engineering or Technical background looking to step into a customer-facing role where you can develop your career long-term within a growing and supportive company?

    On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business that will invest in your development through hands-on training, shadowing experienced staff and giving you full exposure to projects from initial survey through to completion.

    This company have over 40 years of experience delivering high-quality HVAC and air conditioning solutions across the South of England. They have built a strong reputation for their service, staff retention and supportive culture, and are now looking to add to their growing team.

    In this varied role, you will split your time between the office and customer sites, supporting projects from start to finish. This will include meeting engineers on site, surveying projects, preparing quotations, organising materials, liaising with customers and supporting the commissioning and handover process.

    This role would suit a Graduate, Apprentice-trained Engineer, Junior Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a stable company that offers progression, training and a vehicle.

    The Role:

    Supporting HVAC and air conditioning projects from enquiry to completion
    Site visits, surveys and customer liaison
    Preparing quotations and coordinating materials/projects
    Office and field-based role with training provided
    The Person:

    Mechanical, HVAC or Engineering background
    Looking to move into a project/sales engineering role
    Full UK Driving Licence
