How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Manager (Engineering / Offshore)

    Are you a Field Service Engineer that has experience supervising and managing small teams?

    Are you looking for a hands-on leadership role where you can shape a growing service operation within the offshore wind sector?

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company in a newly created position, leading a skilled engineering team while driving operational efficiency, technical excellence, and outstanding customer service across UK and international offshore projects.

    This market-leading offshore engineering business specialises in access and lifting solutions for the renewable energy sector, supporting major offshore wind farms globally. Due to continued growth, the business is seeking a Field Service Manager to take responsibility for field engineers, subcontractors, and service delivery operations.

    You will manage a team of field engineers and technicians, ensuring smooth coordination across service delivery, logistics, and operational planning. This includes overseeing deployment, ensuring HSE compliance, supporting offshore activities, and maintaining high standards across all field operations.

    This role offers the chance to make a real impact developing processes, supporting professional growth within your team, and improving efficiency across the service function.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead and develop a team of field service engineers and subcontractors
    Oversee planning, logistics, and deployment of field personnel
    Act as the main point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders
    Ensure compliance with HSE standards and support technician welfare
    Monitor KPIs, reporting, and drive continuous improvement
    2 days can be hybrid following successful completion of probation

    Proven experience managing field service or engineering teams
    Mechanical or electrical engineering background
