How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Engineer (Progression to BMS Commissioning Engineer)

    Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to move into a specialist, project-driven role with an industry-leading company, where you'll work with advanced BMS systems, contribute to complex BMS projects across Ireland and Europe, and be fully supported as you develop into a Commissioning Engineer, all while benefiting from your own company van?

    This well-established BMS consultancy, operating for over 40 years, delivers innovative building services engineering and sustainable design solutions across Ireland and internationally. With a proven track record of growth and a strong reputation for technical excellence, the company has built a trusted presence in the industry, supporting clients across a wide range of high-profile infrastructure projects.

    In this role you will carry out electrical installations on HVAC and BMS systems, assist in commissioning and testing under senior guidance, and gradually learn to implement and verify control strategies. You will support inspections, help prepare Site Acceptance Test (SAT) reports, and collaborate with project teams to ensure quality. This hands-on role offers technical growth, progression to Commissioning Engineer, and travel across Ireland and Europe.

    This role would suit a qualified Electrician with an interest in HVAC and BMS systems, looking to gain hands-on commissioning experience while working on large-scale projects across Ireland and Europe.

    The Role:

    Assist with BMS and HVAC commissioning
    Support engineers, contractors, and project teams
    Gain exposure to multiple BMS platforms with ongoing professional development.

    The Person:

    Qualified Electrician with an interest in HVAC and BMS systems
    Willing to learn BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium, Distech, or Siemens
    Qualified to work on Electrical control panels
    Dublin-based, with flexibility to travel across Ireland and regular Europe.
