How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a Sales Engineer/Manager with experience in motors/gearboxes, looking to join a global market leader in the industry with over a billion-pound turnover, offering an autonomous, rewarding role with a wealth of company benefits?

    On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned manufacturer, where you will be stepping into an established, profitable patch with strong client relationships.

    In this remote role you will be on the road most days, travelling to customer sites to sell a range of industrial gears, motors, invertors and related equipment. You will receive full internal product training from head office, then cover a patch north of London, split 70% account management and 30% business development.

    Founded nearly 100 years ago, this company boast a global presence and are active in over 50 countries, making them leaders in their industry with a multi-billion-pound turnover.

    This role would suit a Salesperson with experience in motors and gearboxes, looking for a diverse, challenging, yet rewarding role within a company who will look after them for the long-term.

    The Role:

    Selling industrial gearboxes, motors, invertors, and related equipment
    70% account management, 30% new business
    Covering a patch across North London and surrounding areas
