How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Authorised Person (High Voltage)

    Are you a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with experience operating across 11kV to 132kV networks, looking to join a growing company working on major UK infrastructure and high-voltage installation projects?

    Do you want the opportunity to take ownership of critical HV operations, support major energisation programmes, and progress your career within a safety-focused business delivering large-scale national projects?

    This company is a specialist in high-voltage infrastructure solutions, delivering installation, commissioning and maintenance projects nationwide. With ambitious growth plans, they are now looking for a Senior Authorised Person to strengthen their operational delivery team.

    In this role you will be responsible for issuing permits, carrying out switching operations, supporting commissioning and energisation activities, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with operational procedures. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and installation teams across a range of substation and infrastructure projects.

    This role would suit an SAP with strong experience across 11kV to 132kV systems, looking for long-term progression, and the chance to work on some of the UK's most exciting HV projects.

    The Role:

    Carry out switching operations across 11kV - 132kV networks
    * Issue permits to work and manage safe systems of work
    * Support commissioning, energisation and outage planning activities
    * Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational standards and client requirements
    * Work closely with project teams, engineers and site personnel across multiple projects
    * Travel to sites across the UK with expensed accommodation included

    The Person:

    Senior Authorised Person with experience between 11kV and 132kV
    * Strong understanding of HV switching operations and safety procedures
    * Ability to travel nationwide
