How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary to join our busy and supportive legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in delivering exceptional client service.

    About the Role

    As a Legal Secretary, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to fee earners across the department. You will help ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations, supporting case progression and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

    Key Responsibilities

    Document Production: Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents, correspondence, and forms.

    Audio Typing & Dictation: Transcribing digital dictation and producing accurate, timely work.

    File & Case Management : Opening, maintaining, and closing files in line with compliance and regulatory requirements.

    Client Liaison: Acting as a first point of contact for clients, handling enquiries professionally and efficiently.

    Diary & Schedule Management: Organising appointments, meetings, and court dates for fee earners.

    Administrative Support: Managing incoming and outgoing post, scanning, filing, photocopying, and maintaining accurate records.

    Billing & Financial Tasks: Assisting with billing, time recording, and financial administration.

    Communication Handling: Managing telephone calls, emails, and correspondence with clients, courts, and third parties.

    About You

    Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or strong administrative background within a professional environment.

    Excellent typing skills and confidence with digital dictation.

    Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.

    High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    Professional communication skills and a client‑focused approach.

    Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
