How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Design Engineer Wanted - Immediate Start!

    Leicester | £40K-£45K (DOE)

    Permanent, Full-Time

    Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer?

    Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer, specialising in Heavy Plant Equipment based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing organisation, working on large scale industrial projects with real variety and global exposure.

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
    Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
    Experience using SEE Electrical (or similar electrical CAD packages)
    Ability to read and produce electrical schematics
    Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
    Knowledge of:

    PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
    Motor control systems and drives
    Industrial automation and instrumentation
    Desirable:

    Experience within heavy plant, quarrying, or process industries
    Exposure to SCADA systems and remote monitoring
    Experience supporting site commissioning or international projects
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Producing control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics
    Using SEE Electrical for electrical design and CAD work
    Programming and configuring PLC and automation systems
    Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment
    Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues (on-site and remotely)
    Ensuring compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
    Working closely with mechanical engineers and wider project teams
    Designing electrical systems for:

    Asphalt plants
    Crushing & screening systems
    Concrete batching plants
    Requirements

    As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will also be expected to:

    Work with Project Managers to ensure designs are delivered on time
    Collaborate with other departments
