Pay Rate: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour
Position 1 Recruitment is pleased to be partnering with a well-established engineering company in Fakenham to recruit a skilled and reliable Mechanical & Electrical Fitter.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, fit, and test mechanical components and machinery
* Carry out electrical assembly, wiring, and installation of control panels and systems
* Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering diagrams, and electrical schematics
* Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Carry out fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs on both mechanical and electrical components
* Ensure all work meets required safety, quality, and performance standards
* Support project builds and assist with customer installations when required
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Fitter, or Machinery Assembler
* Ability to confidently read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics
* Good knowledge of mechanical systems, including moving parts and bearings
* Experience with electrical wiring, panel building, or control systems
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds) would be advantageous
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
