How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced LCV Technician or Van Technician looking to join a well-established commercial vehicle business that offers excellent earning potential, job security, and genuine career progression?

    Our client is a successful and growing commercial automotive business specialising in the repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles and trailers. With multiple sites across the South of England, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality service and investing in both their facilities and their people.

    Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled LCV Technician to join their busy workshop in Poole.

    The Role

    As an LCV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Vehicle inspections and safety checks

    * Routine servicing and maintenance

    * Fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment

    * Mechanical and electrical repairs

    * Road testing vehicles

    * MOT preparation and presentation

    * Accurate completion of job cards and workshop paperwork

    Candidate Requirements

    * Qualified LCV Technician / Van Technician

    * Proven experience working on commercial vans of all makes and models

    * Full UK Driving Licence

    * Strong diagnostic and repair skills

    * Proactive and flexible approach to work
