How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant - Supply Basis

    Sheffield & Surrounding Areas

    are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible supply basis across a trusted network of schools in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are looking for flexible work to suit their lifestyle.

    The Role

    As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work across a variety of primary and secondary settings supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs including:

    Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    ADHD
    Speech & Language Needs
    SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
    Moderate to Severe Learning DifficultiesYou may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, within small intervention groups, or assisting the wider classroom environment.

    What We're Looking For

    We are looking for candidates who:

    Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
    Have previous experience supporting children with SEN
    Are adaptable, patient, and proactive
    Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Can travel across Sheffield and surrounding areas
    Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
