How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Due to continued growth, Alarm Communication Limited (ACL) is looking to appoint an additional Project Manager to join our established and expanding team.

    We are seeking an experienced and technically minded Project Manager with a strong background in the Fire & Security industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with either a proven project management track record or a strong engineering background looking to progress into a senior delivery role.

    The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple commercial Fire & Security projects ranging from £50,000 to £1 million, managing internal engineers and approved subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.

    This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment and has experience managing large-scale, integrated security or life safety systems from inception through to completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage the successful delivery of Fire & Security projects across key client accounts, ensuring exceptional service standards and client satisfaction throughout.

    * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders during all phases of project delivery.

    * Lead and coordinate internal engineering teams and specialist subcontractors across multiple live projects.

    * Prepare project quotations and pricing for additional works and variations in support of the commercial and sales functions.

    * Ensure defect rectification and remedial works are completed efficiently and to agreed quality standards.

    * Take ownership of major project programmes, ensuring all contractual obligations, technical requirements, and site standards are achieved.

    * Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, work-in-progress reviews, applications for payment, and invoicing.

    * Ensure compliance with all SHEQ requirements, including RAMS preparation, audits, and management reporting.

    * Support the ongoing development of the wider team, promoting continuous improvement and a positive, high-performing culture.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience within the Fire & Security industry is essential.

    * Strong technical or engineering background within Fire Alarms, Electronic Security, Integrated Systems, or related disciplines.

    * Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale commercial or enterprise-level projects.

    * Good understanding of IP-based and networked security systems.

    * Experience managing engineers, subcontractors, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

    * Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

    * Professional and confident communicator, capable of building strong client relationships.

    * Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive salary package

    * Excellent company benefits

    * Career progression opportunities within a growing business

    * Flexible working arrangements, including a mix of office, site, and home working

    * Supportive and professional team environment

    * Ongoing training and development opportunities

    Location & Working Arrangement

    This role will be split between office-based work, project sites across London and the surrounding counties, and some home working flexibility.

    If you are an experienced Fire & Security professional looking to join a respected and growing company with exciting long-term opportunities, we would welcome your application
