How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Join one of Europe’s premier data centre contractors as a Senior Electrical Engineer on a flagship new project in Germany. In this role, you’ll be part of a progressive and highly respected contractor known for delivering complex projects across multiple sectors through an innovative and adaptable business model.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer looking to establish themselves within the rapidly expanding data centre industry — a sector that continues to see significant long-term investment and demand. With a strong pipeline of secured projects stretching well beyond the next five years, the successful candidate will have the chance to play a key role in the company’s continued growth and success.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality construction solutions across sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing. Previous data centre experience would be highly beneficial, although candidates from other large-scale industrial or commercial project backgrounds will also be considered.

    Responsibilities:

    * Produce and maintain accurate project reporting to ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved in support of the wider project team.

    * Review and become fully familiar with all design documentation, IFC drawings, and project specifications to gain a complete understanding of the project scope. Oversee the coordination process and work closely with BIM teams to develop detailed installation drawings in line with project specifications and programme requirements.

    * Support the installation and delivery teams in maintaining the highest quality standards on-site, ensuring all works comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.

    * Review subcontractor and supplier tender submissions to assess technical compliance with the project design intent and specifications.

    * Work closely with project teams to ensure engineering activities, including procurement and technical submissions, align with the overall project schedule and do not impact delivery timelines.

    * Manage the technical submittal process, including tracking approvals and ensuring all documentation is submitted in a timely manner.

    * Ensure all electrical installations are completed in accordance with project specifications, QA procedures, and commissioning requirements.

    * Coordinate and manage subcontractors, maintaining clear communication channels to ensure works progress in line with project programmes and weekly coordination meetings.

    * Identify and implement innovative engineering methods and processes that improve efficiency, quality, and project delivery timelines.

    * Assist in the preparation of subcontractor and supplier tender packages alongside the commercial and quantity surveying teams.

    Requirements:

    * Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a recognised electrical contractor on large-scale construction projects.

    * Previous data centre experience would be advantageous, although candidates from other mission-critical or industrial sectors will also be considered.

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments.

    * Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

    * Proficient in the use of Navisworks and engineering-related database systems.

    * Good understanding of project planning software such as Primavera, along with experience working within CAD/BIM environments.

    What’s on Offer:

    * A highly competitive salary alongside an attractive benefits package.

    * Comprehensive package including flights, travel expenses, private healthcare, pension contributions, and performance-related bonus.

    * The opportunity to work on high-profile, technically challenging projects alongside some of the industry’s leading professionals.

    * A collaborative and forward-thinking working environment that supports innovation and professional growth.

    * Excellent long-term career progression and ongoing development opportunities within a rapidly expanding sector.
