How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business and Economics Teacher

    A large secondary school based in Ealing, West London are looking for a Business and Economics teacher.

    School are looking for someone to start in September on a permanent basis or long term contract until at least July 2027.

    This position is full time but school are open to part time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

    Salary will match inner London MPS/UPS.

    School has available parking spaces.

    Business and Economics Teacher - Ealing, West London

    * Deliver engaging Business and Economics lessons across BTEC Business, GCSE Business and A Level Economics, ensuring students develop strong analytical, commercial and financial understanding alongside excellent examination skills.

    * Support students' academic development by encouraging critical thinking, independent learning and confidence in applying business and economic theories to real-world scenarios.

    * Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve their full potential and develop a genuine interest in the world of business and economics.

    * Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help students succeed across all key stages.

    * Contribute positively to the wider school community, supporting departmental initiatives, enrichment opportunities and the overall ethos of the school.

    Qualifications and Person Specification:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

    * A relevant degree in Business, Economics or a related subject

    * Experience teaching BTEC Business, GCSE Business and/or A Level Economics

    * Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    * Approachable, organised and enthusiastic
