CNC Programmer

Position: CNC Programmer (Sliding Head)
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Salary: £45 - 50k base salary DOE

Bennett and Game are currently partnering with a highly established CNC & Precision Engineering client actively seeking a skilled and industry proven CNC Programmer with proven ability working on Sliding Head Machines to join their Kent branch.

Position Overview:

Set, operate, and program Citizen Sliding Head CNC machines (4 and 5 axis) to produce precision aerospace components to drawing and tolerance requirements.
Carry out full machine setups including tooling, offsets, bar feeds, and first-off inspections to ensure smooth production.
Edit and improve CNC programs to reduce cycle times and maintain quality and accuracy.
Inspect parts using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges to meet ISO 9001 and aerospace standards.
Complete production records, inspection reports, and traceability paperwork in line with AS9100 and customer requirements.
Support continuous improvement, reduce scrap, and maintain high standards of machine care, safety, and housekeeping.
Position Requirements:

Proven experience setting, operating, and programming Citizen Sliding Head CNC machines.
Strong knowledge of 4 and 5 axis machining and sliding head lathe operations.
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and tight tolerance specifications.
Experience working to ISO 9001 and AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
Skilled in using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
Good problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Position Salary & Package

£45 - 50k base salary DOE
Overtime rates on top of salary
Monday - Thrusday 08:00 - 17:00
Friday 08:00 - 13:00
