How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Architectural Technologist

    Your new role
    We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist with a passion for design and a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience. This role is based in our Birmingham studio and offers the opportunity to work on both UK and international projects, contributing to all stages of the architectural process.

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    Develop detailed work packages for small to large scale international architectural projects, working individually or as part of a larger team.
    Ensure compliance with UK Planning, Building Regulations, and CDM regulations.
    Communicate design solutions clearly to both the internal team and the wider design team.
    Liaise effectively with other members of the design team and clients, ensuring high-quality outputs and client satisfaction.
    Contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and skill development through active participation and collaboration.

    What you'll need to succeed

    Diploma or higher in Architectural Technology.
    At least 10 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role.
    Strong technical skills and proficiency in managing all stages of the architectural process.
    Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex design solutions.
    A sound working knowledge of UK Planning, Building Regulations, and CDM regulations.
    Ability to produce high-quality material and maintain high standards in project execution.
