How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Studies Teacher
    Location: Tower Hamlets
    Salary: £165 – £265 per day (depending on experience)
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract Type: Part Time (3 days a week)

    GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join a coeducational comprehensive secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher with experience delivering Business Studies at BTEC Level 3 to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.

    About the Role:

    As a Business Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to secondary school students. This is a part-time, on-site role, ideal for an experienced teacher who can inspire students and support their academic progress in Business Studies.

    Responsibilities for Business Studies Teacher:

    Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons in line with the curriculum.
    Teach BTEC Level 3 Business effectively, ensuring students meet learning objectives.
    Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    Support students with coursework and exam preparation.
    Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
    Requirements for Business Studies Teacher:

    Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Proven experience teaching BTEC Level 3 Business.
    Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills.
    Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
    Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
