RC Frame
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer / Project Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering a major reinforced concrete frame project in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with a solid RC Frame background who is looking to take ownership of engineering and technical delivery on a large-scale construction scheme.
THE ROLE:
Working closely with the Project Manager and Design Team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the concrete frame package from pre-construction through to completion.
DUTIES:
•Managing and coordinating all engineering aspects of the RC Frame works
•Liaising directly with the design consultants, subcontractors, and site management team
•Reviewing drawings, resolving technical queries, and ensuring buildability
•Carrying out material take-offs and assisting with procurement requirements
•Producing and reviewing technical calculations relating to concrete frame construction
•Preparing and reviewing RAMS and method statements
•Ensuring quality control and compliance with specifications
•Supporting programme delivery and maintaining site records
•Mentoring junior engineers where required
REQUIREMENTS:
•Proven experience working on RC Frame projects
•Previous experience as a Senior Engineer or Project Engineer on large construction schemes
•Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete structures
•Ability to interpret drawings and coordinate with design teams
•Experience with material take-offs, temporary works, and engineering calculations
•Knowledge of QA procedures, method statements, and site documentation
•Excellent communication and organisational skills
•Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
