How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site HR Manager

    Paignton
    £45,000 + DOE

    We are currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Paignton to recruit a Site HR Manager.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and successful business with strong HR foundations already in place. The role offers the chance to play a key part in supporting site leadership, developing management capability, and promoting a positive and consistent people culture across the operation.

    Working closely with managers across the site, you will provide practical, hands-on HR support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    The Role

    As Site HR Manager, you will:

    Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers across the site
    Manage a wide range of employee relations cases from start to finish
    Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in people management
    Promote a consistent and pragmatic approach to HR policies and procedures
    Build strong working relationships across all levels of the business
    Act as a visible, approachable, and trusted HR presence on site
    Support ongoing people initiatives and contribute to a positive working culture
    Ensure HR best practice and employment law compliance are maintained
    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    Have previous experience within an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor, or HR Manager position
    Ideally have experience within manufacturing, food production, or another fast-paced operational environment
    Be confident managing employee relations issues and applying employment law in practice
    Have a practical and solutions-focused approach to HR
    Be comfortable influencing and supporting managers at all levels
    Be organised, approachable, and proactive in your style
    CIPD qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential
