How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Mentor – Primary School

    Hillingdon, West London

    Location: Hillingdon
    Job Type: Full-Time | Long-Term
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Start Date: ASAP / September 2026

    We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school in the Hillingdon area.

    This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with behavioural, emotional, and additional learning needs, helping them to engage positively with education and reach their full potential.

    About the Role

    As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils across the primary age range who may require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, social skills, and classroom engagement.

    You will work alongside teachers, SEN staff, pastoral teams, and parents to provide targeted support both inside and outside the classroom.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support

    * Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

    * Support children with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs

    * Assist with emotional regulation and de-escalation strategies

    * Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement

    * Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times

    * Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to implement support plans

    Requirements

    * Previous experience working with children or young people essential

    * Experience within schools, SEN settings, youth work, or mentoring desirable

    * Strong behaviour management and communication skills

    * Calm, patient, and resilient approach

    * Ability to build rapport with vulnerable pupils

    * Team Teach or behaviour management training advantageous but not essential
