Pipefitter / Mechanical Fitter

A well‑established Air Handling Unit (AHU) manufacturer is seeking a fully qualified Pipefitter/Mechanical Fitter to join their installation team. This role is primarily pipefitting and welding, with some mechanical fitting as required.

You’ll work both in the factory and on customer sites, with 2–3 nights away per week. Travel time is paid as working hours and accommodation/meal allowance is provided.

Your duties as Pipefitter/Mechanical Fitter would include:

* Installing and welding pipework up to 100mm (steel, copper, stainless, etc.)

* Carrying out MIG welding to a high standard

* Connecting heating/cooling coils, condensate drains and associated services

* Supporting AHU assembly with light mechanical fitting when required

* Working from technical drawings and pipework schematics

* Completing on‑site adjustments, modifications and minor repairs

* Ensuring all work meets quality and H&S standards

Successful candidates for the role of Pipefitter/Mechanical Fitter would require the following:

* Proven experience as a Pipefitter/Mechanical Fitter (essential)

* Ability to carry out both pipework installation and mechanical fitting

* Confident reading technical drawings

* Experience with AHUs/HVAC systems (desirable)

* CSCS, IPAF or PASMA (desirable)

* Full UK driving licence

* Willingness to work away 2–3 days per week

Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
(Must be flexible as will be required to work away 2–3 days a week)
Salary: £15–£17 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half for hours over 50 per week
