How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Primary SEN Teacher – Autism Provision (High Needs)
    Location: Lambeth, SW2
    Contract: Full-time
    Salary: Inner London Pay Scale (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance)

    About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist autism provision in Lambeth, supporting pupils with high needs autism. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference within a well-resourced and supportive SEN environment.
    You will deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), many of whom have complex communication and sensory needs.
    Key Responsibilities
    Plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons linked to EHCP outcomes
    Create a structured, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment
    Support pupils’ communication, social development, and emotional regulation
    Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and parents/carers
    Track and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
    Implement effective behaviour and sensory strategies to support learningIdeal Candidate We are looking for someone who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Has experience teaching pupils with autism and complex needs
    Has worked in an SEN School or specialist provision (highly desirable)
    Demonstrates a strong understanding of autism-friendly teaching approaches
    Is patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive educationDesirable:

    Experience using the Attention Autism approach
    Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or alternative communication systems
