How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Slough

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school community in Slough this September.

    As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student or a small group of students, providing essential academic, emotional, and behavioural support to help them reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and personal development.

    Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant:

    Individualised Support: Provide tailored one-to-one assistance based on the student's unique learning needs, whether academic, behavioural, or emotional.
    Support Learning: Assist in delivering engaging lessons, adapting resources and tasks to meet the student's learning style and ensuring full participation.
    Track Progress: Monitor the student's progress and share regular updates with the class teacher and SENCO to support effective planning.
    Encourage Growth: Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help the student build confidence, independence, and essential social skills.
    Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and parents to develop and implement effective learning strategies.Qualities We're Looking For:
