How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electromechanical Field Installation Engineer

    Location: Home-based covering Hampshire and Dorset
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
    Package: Company van, tools, no call out, no weekend work, excellent work-life balance

    Are you an Electromechanical Engineer looking for a steady, home-based field role with no call out, no weekend work and a genuinely sensible work-life balance?

    This is a great opportunity to join a growing UK business in the parking solutions sector, delivering and installing smart parking equipment across customer car park sites in Hampshire and Dorset.

    The role is not overly complicated, but it does require someone with a proper electromechanical background who is practical, reliable, customer-focused and comfortable working independently on site.

    This is a consistent field-based role where much of the work follows a similar pattern day to day. It would suit a dependable engineer who enjoys routine, takes pride in completing work properly and wants a stable, long-term role with sensible hours.

    What’s in it for you?

    * Home-based field role covering Hampshire and Dorset

    * Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

    * No call out or weekend work

    * Company van and tools provided

    * 25 days holiday plus your birthday off

    * Holiday purchase scheme

    * Medical cash plan

    * Pension scheme

    * Permanent, stable employment

    * Structured training at UK Head Office

    * High levels of autonomy and trust

    * Work with innovative parking technology

    The Role

    As an Electromechanical Field Installation Engineer, you will install parking solutions equipment at customer car park sites across Hampshire and Dorset.

    You will travel from home to client sites, complete practical installation work, carry out basic testing and checks, and ensure each installation is completed neatly, safely and professionally.

    This is a customer-facing role, so the way you represent the business is just as important as the technical work itself. The company has a strong reputation for service, reliability and customer care, so they are looking for someone polite, steady, professional and dependable.

    This is not a role for someone looking for complex industrial breakdowns, heavy maintenance or constantly changing technical challenges. It is ideal for someone who wants a predictable, field-based engineering role with autonomy, stability and no call out.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Install parking solutions equipment at customer car park sites

    * Carry out practical electromechanical installation work

    * Use hand tools and basic installation equipment

    * Complete basic testing and functional checks

    * Ensure equipment is fitted neatly, safely and correctly

    * Provide a professional service to customers on site

    * Complete job updates and paperwork accurately

    * Work independently from home across Hampshire and Dorset

    What We’re Looking For

    We are looking for a reliable, practical engineer who is happy in a customer-facing field role.

    You do not need to be a heavy industrial engineer or advanced fault-finding specialist. However, you do need to be confident working with equipment, tools, installation tasks and basic technical checks.

    Suitable backgrounds could include:

    Electromechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Field Installation Engineer, Installation Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Parking Equipment Engineer, Access Control Engineer, Vending Engineer, Ticketing Systems Engineer, Payment Systems Engineer, Automatic Door Engineer, Barrier Engineer, Gate Engineer, Electrical Technician or Mechanical Technician.

    Key Skills and Experience

    * Electromechanical engineering background

    * Practical installation, service or maintenance experience

    * Comfortable using hand tools

    * Able to carry out basic technical checks

    * Strong customer service skills

    * Professional, reliable and well organised

    * Happy with routine, repeatable field-based work

    * Full UK driving licence
