How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Finance Manager

    Location: Birmingham
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits

SF Partnership is partnering with a market leading, fast-growing construction business to appoint an ambitious and commercially focused Finance Manager into a key leadership position within their West Midlands operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional who wants to step into a visible, influential role where they can genuinely shape performance, partner with senior leadership and play a key part in strategic decision making.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director you will act as a true business partner across finance, operations and commercial teams, taking ownership of delivering high quality financial insight and supporting business performance across the division.

    Key Responsibilities:

Produce monthly management accounts and insightful commercial reporting
Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve business performance
Support forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management
Deliver analysis and commentary for senior leadership and board reporting
Drive improvements across finance processes, controls and reporting
Challenge assumptions and investigate variances across operational performance
Support strategic planning and business decision making
Play a key role in improving systems, reporting capability and finance visibility

To be considered you must be:

A qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
Confident working with senior stakeholders across a fast-paced environment
    Excellent analytical and communication skills
    Advanced Excel skills
Proactive, driven and solutions focused mindset
Able to balance attention to detail with commercial thinking
Experience within construction industry or a project led environment would be highly advantageous, although not essential.

If you are looking to step into a genuinely influential Finance Manager position within a high growth, commercially driven business where finance plays a central role in strategic decision making then this is one for you! You’ll operate as a true business partner to senior leadership, gaining exposure across operations, commercial performance and long term planning rather than sitting purely in a reporting capacity. The role offers strong visibility, the chance to improve processes, influence performance and work closely with key stakeholders across the division
