How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Clinical Deputy Nursing Home Manager
    St Helens | £60,000 - £65,000 per annum | Monday-Friday

    Are you a Registered Nurse looking for your next leadership role in specialist dementia care?

    We are recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Deputy Nursing Home Manager to join a well-respected 70 bed Care home in St Helens. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse-qualified leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care, supporting clinical teams, and making a real difference to residents living with dementia and complex needs.

    This is a varied and rewarding role where you will combine clinical leadership, and supernumerary management to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

    The Role
    As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading the nursing and care teams, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring the home remains compliant, compassionate, and inspection-ready.
    Your responsibilities will include:
     
    Supporting the Home Manager in the overall management of the service
    Leading and developing the nursing team to deliver excellent standards of care
    Overseeing care planning, clinical governance, and medication management
    Supporting the safe delivery of complex nursing and dementia care
    Monitoring and improving quality, compliance, and best practice
    Deputising for the Home Manager in their absence
    About You
    We are looking for a confident and caring nurse leader who can inspire others and bring strong clinical judgement to the role.

    You will need:
    A current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN
    Experience working in elderly care and/or dementia care
    Strong leadership and mentoring skills
    Excellent knowledge of clinical standards and CQC expectations
    A calm, professional approach to care delivery
    The ability to build trust with residents, families, and colleagues
    A genuine passion for high-quality, person-centred careExperience in a deputy management or senior clinical leadership role would be highly beneficial, but we are also open to strong nurses ready to step up.
