Sen Teacher

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teacher will model professional integrity and the EPIC values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver personalised learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of pupils with communication differences, sensory processing needs, and complex and severe learning needs
* Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
* Work collaboratively with families and professionals to support children's progress
* Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
* Lead a team and provide clear guidance to Teaching Assistants
* Help to disseminate good practice across the school
* Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
Requirements
* A committed and passionate approach to supporting students with SEND and PMLD
* Ability to create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils feel understood and empowered to explore, communicate and thrive
* A minimum of two years' experience working within a SEND and/or PMLD/SLD setting or provision
* QTS/QTLS is essential
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A flexible and proactive attitude towards supporting pupils with complex needs
