How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vehicle Technician

    Independent, Prestige Specialist

    Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

    £40,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary

    A well-respected independent prestige car specialist near Canterbury is growing and looking to bring two experienced technicians into the team.

    This is a family-run workshop where the focus is firmly on quality, care, and doing the job properly — not rushing cars through the door.

    With plans already underway to convert additional storage space into another workshop, it’s an exciting time to join a business that’s expanding in the right way.

    Salary and Benefits

    * £40,000–£50,000

    * Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (30-minute lunch)

    They’re hiring for two different skillsets.

    One role suits a technician confident with modern prestige vehicles — someone strong in diagnostics, repairs, and major servicing, comfortable using diagnostic equipment and methodically working through faults.

    The second role is ideal for a technician who enjoys working on older, classic vehicles — maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and rebuild work where patience, mechanical understanding, and pride in craftsmanship really matter.

    Requirements

    * Solid experience as a vehicle technician

    * Ideally from a VAG, prestige, or performance background

    * Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability

    * Takes pride in doing work properly rather than quickly

    * Enjoys being part of a small, experienced team

    The current team consists of three technicians, an engine builder, a part-time team member and a service technician, creating a knowledgeable and supportive environment where everyone pulls together.
